Intellectual Property Analyst
Global Intellectual Strategies© is a fast growing intellectual
property consulting firm located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

GIS is seeking a patent agent possessing outstanding claims
analyses skills, excellent oral and written communication
abilities, strong technical work experience, and leadership
potential.
Responsibilities
-Conduct comprehensive prior article searches and literature
analyses for patent and competitive intelligence purposes.
-Interact with customer and with legal counsel as required.
-Compose technical reports, validity, infringement and offer
opinions when required.
-Assist as required in the evaluation of patent portfolios.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
-Ability to manage multiple projects and interface productively
with others.
-Excellent interpersonal skills.
-Exceptional communication and technical writing skills.
-Advanced information gathering skills including use of online
resources.
Qualifications and Experience
-Registered Patent Agent (preferred) or equivalent experience
(5+ years).
-EE or CS degree or relevant technical and experience in
semiconductors, semiconductor fabrication, electrical and/or
electronics.
Technical Advisors
GIS employs technical advisors as needed.
Some provide services quite regularly while others do so
less frequently. The appropriate advisor is selected by
technology and experience to fit our projects. If you are
interested in contract work and have extensive experience
in the electronics or communications sectors, we have projects
for you. Some responsibilities may include working with
patents, providing technical opinions and bringing industry
